Christopher Potter Stewart
Christopher Potter Stewart co-founded b-fresh consulting LLC. He brings a firsthand understanding of the blogosphere and a new media fearlessness to any communications plan.
In October of 2006 Chris founded the political blog GreenMountainPolitics1, which served as a running commentary on the 2008 Presidential election covering both Republican and Democratic candidates and their campaign activities. The blog incorporated video, pictures, original reporting and commentary with a dash of snark.
Chris blogged at GreenMountainPolitics1 under the pen name Monday Morning Clacker, and Chris continues to blog under that name in his free time.
In the course of building GreenMountainPolitics1, Chris successfully navigated the world of presidential politics, the MSM and the New Media while building an active push list of over 2,000 journalists, bloggers and pundits. GreenMountainPolitics1 enjoyed an average of 1,500 unique visitors per day and maintained a "must read" brand among reporters, activists and campaign staff. GMP1 was referenced by several state and national publications.
When he wasn't blogging from the campaign trail, Chris appeared on television, radio and in print to discuss the way blogs were altering the political landscape as well as to provide a snapshot of where he thought the election was at that particular time. He also lectured on new media at New Hampshire's Loeb School of Communication, which he enjoyed immensely
Prior to founding b-fresh consulting LLC and GreenMountainPolitics1, Chris worked for several political campaigns and on Capitol Hill for former Ohio Congressman Rob Portman. Chris also spent 3 years in Austin, Texas reporting on the legislative activities of the Texas House and Senate for a trade magazine.
Mr. Stewart holds a B.A. degree from American University in Washington. He is also a graduate of American University's Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies Campaign Management Institute and a graduate of the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies Lobbying Institute.
Chris grew up in Vermont. He welcomes a challenge on the squash court or the backgammon board. He currently lives in DC.
